Fare Thee Well, Didier!
Today, Didier Drogba leaves Chelsea as a champion in all ways. No thank you, you're one of the reasons that I became a football fan a few years back. I'm sure I speak for all Chelsea fans when I say that you will be missed.

Sometimes you just want a no hassle type of manicure and this is it. It's a sheer pink with silvery sparkle. It's a manicure no one notices. No worries about chips or growth because no one will see them. Tip Wear? Where?
There is some secret sparkle to occupy yourself whilst driving.

Julep Maven
Hi all, now a detour into polish land.
I got a coupon code for Julep Maven's Introductory box of colors. I hurried over to their website and filled out the survey. It said I was the It Girl, though I don't know how much I have in common with Lady Gaga.
Who could resist a 1 cent offer for free polish though?
The box came like this:
Inside were three polishes:
Mandy is right on trend with this spring coral orange trend, and that's the one I chose to wear immediately:
It's a unique shade, sometimes orange, sometimes pinkish, sometimes tomato red. I liked it. Everyone at work was like Holy Batman, bright polish, since this is a step away from the nudes I usually wear. It's something I would usually save for my toes during Summer.
As for the Julep Maven Box concept, I love the idea, but I don't love the price. I have decided to skip the month of May since those colors really did nothing for me, and alternate girl styles had a magnetic polish in them. I don't really love the idea of magnetic polishes, especially for this price.
China Glaze at your local beauty supply can be had for as little as $3 + tax. I get to choose the colors, and instant gratification that a mail order cannot beat. Think about $3 x 3 = $9 and I have $10 left over to buy myself some nice hand scrubs or lotion.
I'm still undecided over next month. I'll probably see what they have to offer and I'll go from there.

"I'll take two of what you're having and all of what you got"
To kill this goddamn lonely love...
It's been years since I listened to this and now I cannot stop. I was listening to some Ryan Adams on Youtube, and it brought me to Danko/Manuel duet they did live in concert. I remember though that I was so obsessed with this song.
To think of it I still am. I have probably listened to this thing 30 times since last night.
After he left the Drive-By Truckers, I kind of stopped paying attention to both DBT and his solo career. I'm probably missing a lot of good things since that time.
It's funny you go years without thinking about someone and than this brings you right back.
I love the last four minutes of this video though. Yes it's a sad song, but we need that as people sometimes as a contrast to the happy times. It shows us how far we have come from those dark times. It allows us to see some of the distance. Jason Isbell, I love you for your sad songs, but yes maybe we're not those same sad people now. Thanks for the reminder, though.
